A lifelong fitness enthusiast, Sol has a deep passion for exercise and wellness. Sol is a 1987 graduate Northeastern University with a degree in Business Administration, where she also became an AFAA Certified Aerobics Instructor and taught Aerobics and Fitness classes following her college years. Sol first discovered her passion for Pilates on the mat, where she practiced as a student for over 10 years. She expanded her knowledge and added the different Pilates apparatuses to her practice, immediately recognizing and understanding the mind-body connection.

Sol decided to deepen her love and appreciation for Pilates by entering the certification program and became Peak Pilates Certified in 2013. She keeps her clients moving in a creative way while adhering to classical Pilates teaching methods. She enjoys working with people and sharing her knowledge and devotion and believes in the importance as you work from the center of your body.  She teaches in both English and Spanish.

Along with teaching Pilates, she works with her husband in their family business. She is a proud mother of two daughters who have encouraged her to continue with her practice and further her study of the movement of Pilates.

Sol looks forward to sharing her knowledge and enthusiasm about the human body through Pilates.

See you on the mat!!

Mary Therese Royal

Comprehensive Certified Pilates Instructor

PMA® Certified Pilates Teacher

Mary Therese has been practicing Pilates many years.  Over her life, she has engaged in many different forms of exercise. Each of these exercise regimens provided some physical benefits; however, none of them completely transformed her body.  And to be honest, none of them were particularly fun.  In her search to try new things, she came across Pilates and began mat work at home.  She immediately noticed changes in her core strength and flexibility.  She then joined a Pilates studio in Bloomington, Indiana and became exposed to the equipment.  This is where she truly fell in love with the work.  The reformer and chair exercises strengthened and toned her in such a way that she no longer experienced knee joint or lower back pain that was beginning to plague her on a regular basis.

She wanted to share her enthusiasm for the work and pursued her certification. She believes every body can benefit from Pilates.  She enjoys teaching those at the very beginning of their journey as well as bringing new challenges to seasoned clients.

Pilates has given her strength and confidence she never thought was possible and hopes to inspire all her students that they too can achieve happiness through physical fitness.
