Stephanie Pritchett
Certified Yoga Teacher
Stephanie bagan exploring a variety of yoga styles, including Bikram, Iyengar, Hatha and Vinyasa while living in San Francisco. After a time in my life when I was faced with a number of life challenging events including a company layoff and the loss of my sister to cancer, I realized I had drifted away from my yoga practice, and I decided to dedicate more time to my mat. Through this process I discovered the true power of yoga. I started to practice every day, and yoga helped me heal. During this journey of healing, self discovery and uncovering the beauty of yoga I decided that I wanted to become a certified yoga teacher and in the summer of 2010 I completed the 200-Hour Hatha Teacher Training program at Yoga Yoga in Austin, TX. I immediately began sharing the gift of yoga through teaching Vinyasa and Gentle/Restorative yoga classes and opened a yoga studio in Texas.
When we develop a regular yoga practice, we develop a better understanding of our bodies – we become more aware of what our body needs. In our chaotic daily lives, we often spend time in our heads, losing touch with the needs of the body and losing the connection between the body and the mind. One of the many gifts of yoga is the beauty of connecting the mind, body and breath as one again. I am honored to share the gift of yoga with others as I continue my personal journey along the way at the InnerSpace. |
